SELF-LOVE
What if you simply devoted this year to loving yourself more?
This week I want to focus on LOVE. My clients love to bring up the topic of love! I mean who doesn’t want to be smitten or adored? I’m a Cancer sun, Leo moon, and Libra Rising. That just basically leads to me being a hopeless romantic. LOL, but all jokes aside…
The most important relationship is the one you have with yourself. I know it sounds cliché, but you must wholeheartedly love yourself before you love another. Self-love is the key to a healthy relationship. When you’re lacking self-love, you could fall into a relationship for all the wrong reasons, like fear of being alone or codependence. Always remember: We can only attract at the level that we’re on. When we love ourselves, we attract love.
I want you to take a piece of paper and make a long list of traits you want for your perfect mate. Once the list is completed honestly ask yourself, are you all of those things? If you want a passionate person, become passionate. If you want an adventurous person, become adventurous. If you want love, be the LOVE!
My mantra is: I alone am whole, and it’s been huge for me. I alone am whole. I don’t need another person to complete me. I am not a fraction. I’m a complete masterpiece all by myself and I do not need anyone else to validate my existence. This is also what I tell my clients! After all, who wants to be someone’s everything? No one! It’s too much pressure and it’s ridiculous.
Come up with a mantra that inspires you to stop looking for all the love you want outside yourself, because let’s be honest, it starts with you. We teach others how to treat us by the way we treat ourselves. Pay attention to the exchange of energy in your romantic relationships and platonic relationships. Are you always driving to see them or are they willing to meet you halfway? If you notice yourself bending over backwards much more often than the other person, you are sending one message loud and clear: your time is free and they don’t need to honor it. After all, why should they value your time if you don’t? So, treat yourself with respect and watch others follow suit!
Don’t chase people just to have an abundance of fake friends and unhealthy romantic relationships. Let’s develop real and healthy relationships. In 2018 I challenge you to make self-love a priority. Be an example to others. Attract them with your positive manifestation skills. And more than anything, be yourself. The people who are meant to be in your life will love you for who you are.
