WHAT HOLISTIC HEALTH COACHING MEANS TO ME

I practice a holistic approach to wellness focusing on your whole being, external influences, and desired long-term outcome. It was only when I decided to look at food through a different lens that the guilt dissolved and I began to magnetize towards foods that not only tasted great, but radically nourished my body too.

HOLISTIC HEALTH COACHING WITH AMY

As we work together, we will explore how all aspects of your life affect your health and happiness. We will look into your lifestyle. We will discover how stress from your career, romantic relationship, family dynamics, and finances may be influencing your eating habits. Do you tend to overeat when stressed? Or the opposite, do you avoid eating when stressed? What is your relationship with food? What is your mindset regarding food? Do you believe eating healthy is hard or restrictive?

I will work with you to change your outdated belief systems about food. We will uncover what’s really holding you back from living a healthy happy life. We will then change the way you look at food. You will establish a new healthy lifestyle, focusing on what you can eat and making eating fun again. We will get creative! You will learn that eating healthy doesn’t have to mean giving up delicious meals.

We will work together to achieve your health goals, whether it be achieving optimal weight, reducing food cravings, increasing sleep quality, or maximizing energy. As we work together you will develop a greater understanding of the food and lifestyle choices that will work best for YOU. You will implement lasting habits that will help improve your energy, balance, and overall health. Working together we will accomplish your goals using the following methods: individualized meal plans, grocery tours, and healthy cooking lessons.

HOLISTIC HEALTH COACHING SESSION

During our initial consultation, I will work with you to figure out your wants, needs, and goals. We will discuss your diet history. I will have you fill out a few forms including 24-hour recall, food record, an eating behavioral journal, stress awareness journal, and a physical activity log. After analyzing all the data collected we will then set an attainable goal. I will create a custom-made meal plan tailored to your needs. I will coach you on how to obtain these goals. I will be with you every step of the way.

GROCERY STORE TOUR

Together we will visit your preferred local grocery store. Going to the grocery store can be overwhelming especially when you are trying to make healthy choices. We will start by creating a shopping list based on your customized meal plan. During our tour I will introduce you to amazing nutrient-rich foods that you may have not tried yet. I will teach which produce is important to buy organic and we will avoid GMOs. I will teach you how to read food labels and what foods should be avoided to maintain good health. I will also give you tips for healthy snacking. Most of all you will learn how to navigate the aisles feeling empowered!

HEALTHY COOKING LESSON

You now have the tools you need to make healthy choices. In this final session, we will meet in the kitchen. We will take the nutrient-rich foods that you have just purchased and transform them into delicious, healthy meals. I will show you the proper kitchen tools to use and recipes that are perfect for a limited time schedule. I will share my favorite healthy recipes and give you step by step instructions for preparing them. I will teach you not only what meals to cook, but also how to spice them up!
